Ch/Art, the Chevy Chase arts group, is pleased to present WOW3! (Windows on Wisconsin) Part 3 – Duets.
Curator Kirsty Little’s call for ‘Duets’ has brought together couplings of a talented group of mixed media artists from Ch/Art: Destine Freeman and Allen Hirsh, Doris Ross and Ulrike Kaiser, Judith Benderson and Merrilee Harrigan, Jan Rowland and Rosa Vera, Jack Hornady and Kathleen Zeifang, and Susan Billington and Diane Thompson/Alex Pound.
The WOW3! exhibit is accessible 24/7, drawing the attention of passer bys to 5510 Wisconsin Avenue, Chevy Chase, Maryland to the creativity of neighborhood artists. Ch/Art has energized the previously vacant display windows of a building scheduled to be demolished and beautified for the benefit of the community what was a depressing eyesore.
Ch/Art was founded in 2018 and has a membership of 140 artists who work in painting, sculpture, glass, photography, jewelry, fiber art, ceramics and other media. It offers the community opportunities to access art and engage in art making through educational and hands on experiences.
The opening reception is on Tuesday, 6/21 at 6pm.
